2025 Senior Spotlight

Meet Blake!

Blake just graduated from Moorpark High School. He is not only an excellent student, but also an accomplished athlete. We met up in Westlake Village for a senior portrait session in May. It turned out to be a beautiful night, with the perfect weather conditions. Although it was a tad overcast, it delivered the delightful advantage of soft, even, and beautiful light. The surrounding brush was still well-watered, providing us with a lush, green backdrop. I absolutely love that he brought along a few different outfit options. This thoughtful touch added a wonderful variety to the final images. Bring a few outfits helped address the dilemma of the parents having favorites, and Blake’s personal style preferences.

Like many boys, Blake probably wouldn’t have chosen to book a senior portrait session if the decision was left entirely up to him. However, he was remarkably kind and polite, putting up with all of my suggestions and direction throughout the entire photo shoot. I truly appreciate boys like him who are willing to do things they don’t really want to do because they know it will make their parents happy. To ensure a more enjoyable experience for them, I always try to make the process as painless, and dare I say, as fun as possible.

Congratulations, Blake! I wish you the very best as you embark on this exciting new journey to school at Brigham Young University this summer. May this experience be filled with wonderful opportunities, personal growth, and unforgettable memories.
